D86 Referendum: Get the Facts & Take a Tour

The projects in the referendum were identified by hundreds of people—community members, parents, faculty, staff, administrators, Board members and industry experts—for over three years. These projects would fix our infrastructure, make our schools accessible, increase school security, and would bring our facilities up to par with the instruction going on inside them. To pay for these projects, a homeowner of a $500,000 fair market value house would pay about an extra $300 a year in taxes. The last successful referendum was in 1962 and all of the money went to build Hinsdale South.

All tours begin in the main entrance of each building. Link to tour dates and shown below:

Central Tour Date

  • Friday, October 19 – 6:00 p.m. | prior to South/Central football game

South Tour Dates

  • Wednesday, October 17 – 4:30 p.m. | prior to the D86 Volley for the Cure
  • Thursday, November 1 – 6:00 p.m. | prior to the fall musical
