Have You Donated Yet?

We are excited to share that the annual Soaring Eagles Fundraiser is off to a strong start! We are almost to our halfway point.

If you have donated already, thank you! And for those who haven't, you'll love the simplicity of this fundraiser! Simply click below and donate what you prefer. The donations received enhance the teaching and learning environments for our staff and students. Some past projects made possible by your donations include:

  • Vertical white boards to support the math teachers with the practices of the book "Building a Thinking Classroom ($1000 for 10)
  • Two human body torso models for science teachers that are used in the human body unit and for CPR training ($1200)

In addition to classroom enrichments, the PTO maintains the “living classroom” grounds outside of school for outdoor classroom use and funds school-wide speakers, CHMS Cares student volunteer opportunities, supplies for Pep Rallies, Spirit wear to welcome our new staff, classroom Chromebook chargers, and even sets for our musicals.

Click, donate, and share the link with your network today. For those who do not have a Membership Toolkit account, we gladly accept checks—please reach out to the PTO to coordinate.

And if you're a small business looking to get involved, there’s no better way to connect with our students, staff, and parents. Contact the PTO for details.

Every donation counts—no amount is too big or too small. Thank you for your generosity!

Thank you 8th Grade Parents!

Thank you to the 8th grade parents for stocking the three lounges at CMHS!

Our teachers and staff were so excited to see all the snacks, treats and drinks. They were very appreciative - just as we appreciate all they do for our kids!

Did you know about the HCHS Parent List?

Might your child benefit from Mental Health, Learning or Behavioral Support?

Young children experiencing mental health issues may present with more subtle symptoms. For example, anxiety can present as recurring stomach aches, headaches, sleep disturbances or other physical complaints. Children experiencing depression may become easily irritated on a routine basis or have more frequent bouts of crying/sadness.

The Parent List contains first-hand referrals from local parents about area providers that have helped positively address their child’s: anxiety, depression, school avoidance, eating disorders, insomnia, peer relations, dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, autism and more.

The Parent List (much like “Angie’s List”) is a list of resources in our community that have already been used successfully by local parents whose child has experienced mental health, learning or behavioral issues. Insightful reviews on local doctors, therapists, support groups, inpatient and outpatient programs, tutors, nutritionists, books and holistic medical approaches may all be found on The Parent List.

Check out the Parent List provider reviews too! The Parent List always needs fresh reviews to keep current. Please help another parent by taking 2 minutes to submit a review about a local provider you had a positive experience with. Your input is completely anonymous!! Questions can be directed to: parentlist@hcpto.org

In no way does the Hinsdale Central High School or Clarendon Hills Middle School (CHMS) PTOs, Hinsdale Central High or CHMS staff, school districts 86, 63 or 181 endorse or recommend any specific provider reviewed on The Parent List. The Parent List is a subjective forum set up by the Hinsdale Central PTO for your convenience. Parents and guardians are solely responsible for deciding to use any of the service providers on The Parent List in any capacity, and district 86, district 63, district 181 and the Hinsdale Central High School and CHMS PTOs disclaim all liability for any damages, injuries, losses, expenses, or claims of any kind arising out of the provision of services by anyone or any agency appearing on The Parent List.

ANNOUNCING: Soaring Eagles Fundraiser is here!

Dear CHMS Families,

We are excited to announce the kickoff to CHMS' annual PTO fundraiser starting October 1st, the Soaring Eagles Fundraiser (formerly known as the Fall Fundraiser)!

The CHMS PTO relies entirely on the generous donations from our Eagle families and sponsors to fund its annual budget. The PTO dues you’ve already paid cover about 25% of our yearly expenses. Each October, we launch a month-long campaign to bridge the gap, allowing us to continue supporting and enhancing your student’s learning experience throughout the 2024-2025 school year.

Did you know that about half of our annual budget goes directly to supporting teachers and enriching their classrooms? Here are just a few examples:

  • CHMS Cares - hands on student volunteer annual initiative
  • The creation of our Living Classroom, purchased over two years, which earned CHMS a prestigious Green Ribbon Award
  • Flexible classroom furniture that has been a huge hit with students
  • New bike racks, requested by both students and staff
  • School-wide speakers
  • Supplies for Pep Rallies
  • Chromebook chargers for classrooms
  • Lumber for set construction for school musicals

CHMS is a wonderful place, thanks to the dedication of our staff who provide a supportive and enriching learning environment for our students. With your help, we can continue the tradition of excellence and enhancement that the CHMS PTO is proud to provide.

We deeply appreciate your continued support and look forward to making this year’s fundraiser a success!

What makes this fundraiser unique (and a favorite among parents) is that we don’t ask you to do anything besides click a link and donate. Yes! It’s that easy. No selling products, no attending events, no soliciting on our behalf. We love simple asks!

Please click HERE to donate. Thank you in advance for your support!
